Topics included: Functions; Quadratic Functions; Equations, Inequalities and Graphs; Indices and Surds; Factors of Polynomials; Simultaneous Equations; Logarithmic and Exponential Functions; Straight Line Graphs; Circular Measure; Trigonometry; Permutations and Combinations; Series; Vectors in Two Dimensions; and Differentiation and Integration.

Changes to subject content since 2017:

  • The topics on 'Set language and notation' and 'Matrices' have been removed.
  • The subtopic Relative velocity has been removed from topic 'Vectors in two dimensions'.
  • The new topic of Series has been added and Binomial Expansions has been moved to this new topic.
  • Some content has been merged into the topic 'Equations, inequalities and graphs'.
  • Minor changes have been made to all of the following topics: 'Straight line graphs', 'Simultaneous equations', 'Trigonometry', 'Vectors in two dimensions' and 'Differentiation and integration'.

Notes: Calculator allowed. Time allowed: 2 hours. Total marks: 80. This paper counts for 50% of the total Additional Mathematics GCSE.
